cookie of the month: blueberry macadamia shortbread

Post a Comment Insipired lives inspire me.
I've alway wished I lived a more inspired life. You know the types -- there are people who are actually doing the thing you wish you were doing with your life, and then there are people doing something so completely different than your own life that it makes you wonder how they got there. Often I find myself wanting those lives because, honestly, it just looks so dang cool. And it's pretty easy to get caught up in wanting something else. The grass is always greener, they say.
With an endelss number of blogs, pins and photos, sometimes I just want to resign my uninspired life to the couch and watch Felicty on Netflix. But recently I've been able to pull myself out of the occassional bouts of melancholy and actually put this inspriation to work. I'm inspring myself to be inspired because I am inspired by others!
Too much? Ok, sorry, I got a little excited.
But how about this? Inspiration can be found in some pretty unlikely places, and I recently found it on a flight to Kauai in the unassuming form of the in-flight snack. If you are flying to Kauai, plain old pretzels won't do. No, they give you blueberry macadamia cookies. Blueberry macadmia cookies that you think about during your entire trip, secretly tricking you into thinking you want to go home, just so you can have antoher cookie. Because they give them to you on the return flight too.
Don't ever be tricked into wanting to leave Kauai because you want a cookie. Just eat these instead, and know that you can find inspiration in the most unassuming places.
